Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy describes our approach to refunds and cancellations for any paid services offered by Insight Directory LLC.
1. Scope
Insight Directory's editorial content, newsletter, and category guides are provided free of charge. This policy applies to any current or future paid products or services we offer, including premium guides, downloadable itineraries, partner bookings, gift subscriptions, or events.
2. Digital products
Digital products (downloadable guides, PDFs, e-books) may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if the file has not been substantially downloaded or used. Submit refund requests via hello@insightdirectory.com with your order reference.
3. Subscription services
If we introduce a paid subscription, you may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time in an already-paid billing period, unless required by applicable consumer law.
4. Third-party bookings
If you book travel, accommodation, or experiences through a third party reached via our site (including a future flight search widget), the third party's refund and cancellation terms apply. We are not the merchant of record and do not process those refunds.
5. EU and UK statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for most distance purchases. This right does not apply to digital content where you have expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right.
6. Refund process
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days. Bank processing times may add several additional days.
7. Disputes
If a refund is declined and you disagree with the decision, contact us first so we can review the matter. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in suspension of access to paid services.
