As spring and summer come into full bloom we are reminded of how beautiful our Community really is. From its plethora of floral visuals and fragrances to the bounty of brightly colored summer fruits and vegetables on the stands at our farmer’s markets and grocery stores, we can’t help but feel revitalized!
Since 2002 we've been at the forefront of the movement to live a natural, healthy, more sustainable, and balanced life, however never more so than this season. As discussed in the Publisher’s Letter on page one, with our revitalized mission clearly in place, I am very excited to present this Spring/Summer Issue with its diversity of articles to feed the mind, body, spirit, and planet with love.
Inside this issue you will find a variety of articles covering subjects from ways to nurture your spirit, and nourish your body, to ways to cultivate and preserve our planet.
In our last issue, we put a call out to our community to submit great cover photos along with a brief summary of why you felt the person, organization or events would make a great cover. We thank you all for the incredible submittals and want those that submitted to know that the photos will remain in consideration for future covers along with any new submittals.
After considering all cover options, we felt that the story of the Food Love Project best depicted several aspects that we look for in a cover. A great photo that is season appropriate, features an individual, group, event, or organization that contributes to our community by inspiring or assisting others to live a holistic lifestyle as set forth in our revised mission statement in the Publisher’s Letter on page One.
The Food Love project is in alignment with our mission and all of the above and we are very happy that they are gracing our cover this spring and summer; so please be sure to check out the Cover Story on page 5 and keep the fantastic cover suggestions coming!
